•    Shipwreck Diving– wreck diving is a specialized area of scuba diving that can be enjoyed by divers in most areas of the world. Wreck diving is a more advanced type of scuba diving, due to the depth and conditions of the dive. Depending on the condition of the wreck, location, water conditions, and whether a penetration is planned, special skills and equipment are needed to make the dive as enjoyable and as safe as possible.

Shipwreck diving enables divers to visit the past. Each wreck is a time capsule into history waiting to be explored. Divers can also make interesting artifact finds while exploring the remains of sunken ships. This enables the diving community to make its own contribution to historians and archaeologists by giving them the information needed for wreck identification and further research. This Sea Tel Aviv specialty course includes 5 dives including 4 boat dives and its goal is to give you the necessary information and provide a good foundation for wreck diving.

This certification will allow you to penetrate a ship wreck under the following limitations:
Always keep contact with the sun and cannot lose eye contact with the entrance point of the wreck. The distance a diver must swim to the surface will not exceed the max depth that diver is allowed to dive and will not exceed 132 ft. (40 meters) under any condition. The diver must not pass a 1.6 Po2, 1.45 Po2 during penetration or a 3.2 Pn2.
Prerequisites: 12 years of age or older, be an Open Water Diver or have an equivalent certification from a known organization, be a CSU (Complete Safe Air) Nitrox diver (level 2) or have an equivalent certification from a known organization, have at least 20 or more logged dives.
